So there’s the first part of my reason. Blogging doesn’t need me anymore. It’ll go on just as well, maybe even better, with some new space opened up for some new things. But more important to me, there will be new space for me. Blogging not only takes a lot of time (which I don’t begrudge it, I love writing) but it also limits what I can do, because it’s made me a public figure. I want some privacy, I want to matter less, so I can retool, and matter more, in different ways. What those ways are, however, are things I won’t be talking about here. That’s the point. That’s the big reason why.

They said Sony might be trying to buy time to bring down the production cost of key components, particularly untested new devices like Blu-ray and Cell. While Kutaragi did not reveal a price on Wednesday, analysts said Sony would likely try to sell PlayStation 3 for about $500. While that is far higher than the $299 roll out price of its predecessor, PlayStation 2, analysts said that would likely be well below the new console’s actual manufacturing cost.

Gmailの効率的な読み方

プライベートなメールのGmail移行はほぼ完了。おかげで職場からはプライベートメールを読めなくなったけど、これはこれで集中できるようになったからいい面も。もちろんGoogleを全面的に信頼はしてないから、こういうことを避けるためにちゃんとバックアップルートは残してあるが。もっとも、送信メールをバックアップしようと思ったら、Bccに(Gmail以外の)メールアドレスを指定しなくてはいけないんだが、これが自動でできないのが困るところ。Greasemonkeyを使う方法は見つけたんだが、おれはSleipnirの人だしなぁ。
